Joe and I took a road trip out to South River on Saturday. We ended up Mad Rock for the last location for the photos and it was stunning! The lightening was perfect and the scenery was amazing. What a time, it’s nice to get somewhere different sometimes. Enjoy

What an amazing day… I have to say for a rainy, cold & foggy day these guys made the best of it! They made me and Joe feel like we were part of the family and it was just another day to them. (even thou they were dressed up) You have true love and it showed throughout the day and into the photos! I hope you enjoy

Saturday passed Lisa and Blair were married and what a day it was! I have know Blair since we were babies and for me doing the wedding photos was a pleasure because you knew everyone but on the other side it’s nerve racking because you want to make sure everything comes out right. LOL. Things did come out right and Joe and I got some great shots and I hope you enjoy!

Joe and I did the wedding on Friday just passed; up the shore in Witless Bay. It was a fun day except for the flies!! Ahhh Ronald had a smile on his face all day, than again, why wouldn’t he, with a beautiful bride on his side! Enjoy the sneak peak

Suzanne and Jamie where married on Saturday passed. It was a great day, little to much sun but again we always work around everything. We were walking along in Quidi Vidi and one of the men who own a shack down there let us go in and get a few photos… it worked out well. Enjoy

Joe and I shot Karen and Terry’s wedding on Friday pass. The rain was very heavy in the morning but by the time we arrived at the bride’s house it clear off and we started our day. Every Time I asked Terry to smile he would put the biggest smile you ever seen on and it always made me laugh! What a time, hope you guys enjoy the day and here are some teasers for you!

For the first time ever Joe and I had to travel to Bell Island for a wedding. It was great to have a little trip out of the city but let me tell ya, I was worried about making sure we got on the boat in time to be there. Everything worked out well! The sun was a little to bright, we worked around it and got some amazing pictures. Ashley has amazing blue eyes that are just like glass in the photos… WOW. We have a great day (minus the flies) but that’s spring for ya. Ashley enjoy the teaser, I should have the rest online soon!

Susan and Adam came to me when their baby girl was 8 days old. Susan wanted a few more photos so we set up another shoot and here are the pictures! Enjoy

Joe and I didn’t have a wedding on Saturday past so we planned a day of shooting with our friend Jennie. Didn’t matter to us if it rained a little we still got some great shots of Jennie and had lots of fun doing it. We hit a couple locations around the city, changed a few outfits (in the car, LOL)  and made it all work together. Some of my faves are close ups but I have put a bunch up for everyone to look at. Great working with you Jennie and hope to do some more down the road! Enjoy

On May 29th I had the pleasure to shoot Ashleigh and Stephen’s wedding at The Wilds. The weather was cold but we managed to get the photos done outside and had fun doing it. Everyone was so easy to work with which makes it easy for us. Thanks for having us and I hope you like the photos.

Today I had a photo shoot with the Boone family. I did their wedding and they called me up to do some great photos of their little boy Gavin. Only 10 days old and the cutest thing ever. Well he was supposed to be asleep when we did the photos but he decided that since mom and dad stripped him down he wanted to see what was going on. He got Gavin into a couple different positions but he would let us know when he had enough and wanted to move on. (reminds me of someone Enjoy the photos.

On May 15th 2010 I was in Halifax and finally got to attend Hair for Hero’s. ( I have been trying to get there since the start).  Hair for Hero’s is a great charity that raises money to help children with cancer. My brother and his wife started this charity after their beautiful son Daniel passed away from cancer when he was 5 months old. You can check out the story and the charity at www.danielmclellan.ca  You won’t leave the site without a tear in your eye. I was very happy to finally be there and get some great pictures of the event. While being there you meet people and hear stories that make you realize that there are a lot of children out there with cancer and the need to raise money to help these families and find a cure is so important. I captured some amazing expressions and everyone has a great smile on their face while they got their head shaved because they knew what it meant. This year they have raised $45,000 and counting, every penny is needed. If you like to donate please contact Daniel McLellan Memorial Fund and help a family. It’s so funny because there for a while it seemed that I was shooting all boys now it changed to all girls! Alana had her second little girl, Jenna back in Feb. This is the first time I had a chance to get my hands on her to get some photos. Hannah being the big sister had no problem cuddling into her and at any chance she can get will hold her. Both girls are soooo cute and fun to capture. Jenna was a little fussy during the shoot because we interrupted her nap. Throughout the photos Alana managed to get Jenna back to sleep and we got some great photos. The girls are beautiful, enjoy!

Jane came to me after seeing some of my work on facebook and wanted to get her two girls done. It was a nice day so off we went to Bowring Park. Joe and I chased the girls around and had some fun doing it. From playing around (and in) the water to rolling around in the grass, it seemed like the girls had fun while we took photos. It was a great day and I hope you enjoy the photos.

Susan and Adam finally had their baby girl and came to get their second part of the package completed! 8 days old and just a doll, so cute! The photos started off well and we got some great shots but as we were going along she started to get hungry and that was it, the cries came… well also she didn’t like to be naked! But in between all of it we got some great shots but she does take after he dad when it comes to photos because she keep turning her head on me….. LOL. Enjoy the photos

Mandi came to me after seeing a friends pictures that I did. She wanted to get some pictures of her 2 month old baby girl, which I was delighted to do! The shoot was really easy and didn’t take too long to do. Couple cries but after a little bit of milk we were on a roll again taking photos. Margaret (Wedding Bells Decorating) came to me and wanted to get some relaxed photos of her three kids. Relaxed and silly was more like it, what a time. We got some really good shots of them and some really outrageous ones, which I think are just too funny. The girls changed outfits a couple times but you know of course Cody (little brother) wasn’t going to change, he was more interested in playing with my son, Connor. While he played away we shot the girls in many outfits being beautiful to funny with many different faces. Margaret I have lots of photos but here are the ones that I like best. Enjoy

Margaret starting babysitting Connor when he was about 6 months old. That’s 4 1/2 years ago now! Where does time go? Margaret is graduating from high school and wanted me to take some photos on grad day, needless to say I was very happy that she asked. I took her down to the beach in Witless Bay and than where else up by the school buses. I think the school bus photo is one of my favorites. Margaret I hope you like your photos and congratulations from Tim, Connor and Me!

Have you ever seen the show Hoarders? WEll we decided to purge the junk out of our basement and it turn out looking like we were hoarders! LOL We moved out of Witless Bay 3-31/2 years ago and there are boxes that came with us since than that we never opened, never looked for anything in them and they just took up space in our basement. I’m sure everyone is like this. Monday night we decided that we were going to open up all the boxes to see what was in them and throw out stuff or donate it. When you look at the pictures you will see the mess we made trying to clean…. why does this always happen? The stuff we found was from high school and toys from, well my childhood, that my parents decided to pass to us when they moved. Thanks. Needless to say a lot of stuff went in the garbage which I was surprised the garbage man took it all. It’s Wednesday now and we still don’t have everything done but we are getting there. I don’t know who invented Spring Cleaning but they should be shot! LOL By the way, you can play “Where’s Waldo” with two of the photos because my husband is in two of them. Have a great laugh at these. OH if anyone knows someone who wants baby stuff or clothes I have a lot here for grabs!

Yolanda and Justin came back to get their part 2 of the Maternity & Baby pictures done. Evan is 1 month old and wasn’t overly happy about being naked, so he had to be wrapped up in a blanket for most of the shoot. Which turn out well… he is a little cutie! The photo shoot was fast and fun. Evan, in between cries, had a couple eye locking moments with the camera, when he wasn’t looking at the lights. LOL I know Yolanda is waiting to see this blog so I’m not going to say to much more and post the pictures up! Enjoy

Susan and Chris came over to get their second portion of the Maternity & Baby photo shoot, their little boy, Isaac, is the cutest thing ever! Bright eye and couldn’t stop laughing through out the shoot, what a good time and got some great photos from it. In the middle of the shoot Isaac decided that he was going to roll over for the first time… capture a few pictures of it. While we were doing the shoot, Isaac was getting christened that night so we got some shots in his christening dress (sorry Chris) Gown, for a boy. LOL Enjoy the photos!

Liz and Stew are the sweetest couple ever! The fun we had shooting their wedding was just crazy all we did was laugh, and you know what, they make the best pictures ever and the shoot will go a lot faster. Keep that in mind for your wedding day, very important. Liz came back to me yesterday and order a few small canvas prints that are 8×8 in size and is going to hang them as artwork in their bedroom. I thought that was so cool of an idea, because they picked a mixture of details and pictures of them to hang all in bw. Who says you need to have just one picture of you looking pretty in a framed picture on the wall, do something exciting with your wedding pictures, make it artwork. Most wedding pictures are not your standard stand up straight and look right into the camera with your head tilt on a 30 degree angle anymore. They are art, fun, capture that moment whether it’s you laughing or sharing a secret little “I’m in love with you” look! Have fun with your wedding, don’t let the stress get to you. These are the pictures they picked out.

Last weekend the weather was great so Alana and I took the kids to the park. Trying to keep up with these two to get a picture was fun. They bounced around all over the park from one to the other. As you can see Connor is becoming a photographer! LOL future assistant.

Yesterday I have a fun day. Kathy (Ches’s Fish & Chips), Brenda (O’Reilly’s Pub) and I went out to take a few promotional photos. We started at the pub and worked our way around to a few Newfoundland scenery locations and than ended up at Ches’s. It was a little cold out but it was a good time. I had the pleasure of doing maternity photos for Melissa and Donnie around xmas time. When they called me back to meet their new arrival I was so excited. Colin is the sweetest little thing, he found his fist and couldn’t stop looking at it during the photos and licking out his tongue. The photos went really well and while we were getting to the end of the photo shoot we took off the diaper and of course like all boys he ended put peeing all over Melissa. I couldn’t help myself but laugh because like any mom you have been there! Congrats guys on a beautiful boy, enjoy the photos.

Susan and Adam were married on November 1st 2008, we had a great day that day and I was happy to hear from them again. Susan had asked me to do some maternity photos for them and of course I love seeing my past clients, so we set a date and took some great photos. When I walked in and saw Susan, all I could think was what a lucky girl because she has no belly and is one month away from her due date. I had to actually tell her to poke her belly out in some photos! LOL  ….. Sorry Susan it took me so long to get these up, been very busy putting together the wedding show for the weekend.
